Deseret Peak Hike

Jeffry and I left Orem at 6:30am, the GPS was estimating 1 hr 30 min to drive to the trailhead. It was a pretty good estimate so we arrived, took a natural break and were on our way at 8:05am. About 15 min into the hike there is a tricky navigation spot on the trail. I was lucky that Jeffry had read a trip report carefully and we were able to stay on the correct trail. A sign would help hikers like the ones we talked to near the peak that missed the correct trail at that spot
We caught up with a pair of hikers that we leaving the trailhead as we drove up. We chatted with them for a bit. They had both hiked Deseret Peak several times and recommended the north trail down from the peak. They both work at Dugway Proving Grounds and live in Tooele.
To be continued...

Good job Mike. I feel like I can trust your reports because we have climbed peaks together.
